Epilepsy Research Platform

About
The Epilepsy Research Platform is a service facility operating at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology under the auspices of the BRAINCITY Consortium. The platform provides expertise and infrastructure for studying epilepsy in animal models, investigating disease mechanisms, and evaluating novel therapeutic strategies. By supporting high-quality preclinical research, the platform contributes to the development of innovative approaches for the treatment and management of epilepsy.
Research

Whole-cell recordings enabling high-resolution studies of neuronal and network activity in epileptiform brain sectins.
Interface recording chamber for extracellular local field potential (LFP) recordings in acute brain slices, allowing investigation of network activity and epileptiform discharges in experimental models of temporal lobe epilepsy.
EEG recording system for long-term electrophysiological monitoring in mice, used to detect spontaneous seizures and characterize brain activity in basic and preclinical studies of temporal lobe epilepsy.
